The Blog is Live

The blog for the Massachusetts Democratic Party is now live. We will have regular contributions from the people listed on the right, as well as the occasional guest blogger.

Spread the word, and be sure to sign up for the xml/RSS feed! Look for posts from our contributors.

What's XML/RSS? The New York Times has a good explanation and how to get started right here.

Jane,

I wish to thank you for creating this blog. The numerous Yahoo groups are fragmented and subject to inappropriate editing. They have served their purpose, but now we have THREE communications tools, each with its own characteristics and atrributes:

WEBSITE - http://www.massdems.org/home-page.html - the state party's official "face" to the public, home of static information and announcements of a widespread nature; also the home of the master events calendar.

BLOG - http://www.massdems.blogspot.com/ -for dissemination of state committee-level information and individual responses.

FORUM - http://p221.ezboard.com/bmassachusettsdemocraticparty - for detailed discussion

....and, as you point out, it can be connected by RSS.

Good work!

Welcome to the blogosphere! I hope you folks use this as a venue for real two-way communication with the party's rank and file. You have a great opportunity to empower people via the Internet and I hope you'll take full advantage of it.

Thanks guys.

Jeff: I don't think we should discourge any type of activism or activity for the Democtratic ticket. Everything serves its purpose. I do think we should, as you suggested in an email, do a better job coordinating our resources. Hopefully as we move ahead this will start to happen. Excellent work out there in Bolton.

SCO: That's the idea. Thanks for posting the heads up on .08.

Lisa: Can't wait to have a Democratic governor either. I think we are all so tired of Romney.

Boycott SHAW'S

Shaw's spokesperson Patricia Heaton (Everyone Loves Raymond) is campaigning against stem cell research. Please help stop her by boycotting Shaw's. Spread the word!
