Kerry Healey Losing in New Poll

In their first survey since February, the pollsters over at Suffolk University find growing unhappiness with Kerry Healey. This, from their press release:

Asked, do you think Massachusetts is heading in the right direction or on the wrong track, just 33% indicated right direction, while 49% said wrong track (the worst rating recorded in seven consecutive 7NEWS/Suffolk University polls).

Voter discontent is also affecting Republicans in office. Lt. Governor Kerry Healey Healey now has more voters who dislike her (39% unfavorable) than like her (33% favorable), while Governor Mitt Romney’s popularity dropped from 55% favorable-36% unfavorable to 48% favorable- 43% unfavorable.

“Voter anger is taking its toll on Kerry Healey and Mitt Romney,” said Paleologos. “If Massachusetts is on the wrong track, voters see Romney and Healey at the controls.”

The good news is that those surveyed believe any one of our three Democratic candidates would make a better governor than Kerry Healey.

Healey’s problems are so severe that all of the three Democratic hopefuls now would defeat her in the November final. Both Patrick and Reilly led Healey by 13%, while Gabrieli topped her by 19%.

Watch out Ms. Healey, the voters are on to you and they're making their voices heard loud and clear. In the last three and a half years, you have done nothing to improve the direction Massachusetts is moving in. Residents are tired of do-nothing Republican governors. Come November, a Democrat will be elected to the Governor's Office and you'll be looking for a new job.

Before they get started?

You tell me what needs fixing, that the (appartently 90%) of the elected legislature, isn't capapble of recognising?

The job of the govorner is the EXECUTE the LAW. Also, the gov may propose legislation, to be enacted by the legislature (again, elected).

If they cannot find a common ground then no progress is made. And again, you tell me what needs drastic sudden action.

The big dig?

Have you ever seen the legislature mose so fast in granitng a govorner new powers as you did last week?

I appreciate your unhappiness, but you are beginning make me appreciate it in the fun way, as well as in the intellectual way.

calm down, we're starting to laugh at your hyperventilation.

also, jd, well reasoned and well stated.

I didn't want you to think I was shouting you down at all. I just get a bit tired of the misinformed rightous indignation that some show.

I agree that every Gov in the last 15 years has been using MA as a stepping stone, and not as the prize. And you're right, Chris G. is a local, and talented, and not evil.

I may not vote for him, but he does the republican party proud.

GABRIELI FOR GOVERNOR!!!!! This is the candidate that I have decided on. This guy was the only genuine candidate I met and I met them all. I can see right through the rest. Patrick is a very good talker but that dont mean he has any buisness being governor. Riley, well Riley is just 100% not the man. I know who I'm voting for and you should to.

I say vote Deval. We need to move the government further to the Left here in Blue State Mass. Deval Patrick is FOR tuition for Illegals and drivers licneses. he will not lower the %5 Income tax or tolls. He will raise taxes and fees.

If we want to keep up the exodus that is happening with people and companies leaving this state we need even more Liberal Democrats in power.
