Lieutenant Governor continues to hide from failed record

Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey has pulled out of a housing forum scheduled for Thursday, once again refusing to defend the Romney/Healey administration’s failed record on housing and rebuffing an offer to share her positions with the voters of Massachusetts.

“What does Kerry Healey fear? Could it be the fact that under her leadership, more residents are finding it impossible to live here? Affordable housing is the number one issue Massachusetts residents are grappling with,” Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman Phil. Johnston said. “Kerry Healey is helping squeeze the middle class out of this state.”

Kerry Healey committed to the Faneuil Hall forum, but backed out this week. The three Democratic gubernatorial candidates will appear and will share their ideas for making housing more affordable.

Since taking office in 2003, Mitt Romney and Kerry Healey have failed to fulfill their campaign pledge to double housing starts. Meanwhile, residents are beleaguered by soaring property taxes.

The results of the Romney/Healey administration’s failed housing policies are clear:

• Massachusetts is the only state to lose population two years in a row;

• Massachusetts has the 3rd highest housing costs in the country;

• Massachusetts is struggling to attract businesses and workers;

• The number of homeless individuals has risen by 31 percent since 1999;

• There are 10,000 families with children who will be homeless at some point this year—there is room for just 40 of them in state shelters

The results of the Romney/Healey administration’s failed housing policies are clear:

• Massachusetts is the only state to lose population two years in a row; -- NO SHIT! HIGH TAXES, FEES, HOUSING COSTS,car insurance, tolls, excise taxes, gas tax, Big Dig, ETC!! WHO passes these taxes? Healy? Who imposes fees and tolls? Healy? NO ITS THE %87 LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC LEGISLATURE. Why would any sane person want to live in your state! The Democrats in power seem to love taxes as much as a crack whore loves crack! And you have the nerve to blame Healy or Romney? Are you kidding?

• Massachusetts has the 3rd highest housing costs in the country;
- NO KIDDING! Who keeps raising property taxes, creating restrictive buliding laws, creating high utility costs and fees s othat landlords charge sky high rents and the supply has not met demand - LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

• Massachusetts is struggling to attract businesses and workers;- ARE FRIGGING KIDDIN ON THIS ONE? Who has made Mass the 2nd most UNFRIENDLY state to do business in by passing high taxes, fees, HIGHEST unemployemt costs of all 50 states, etc- Kerry Healy and the 6 Republicans? Are you Dems on crack????????????????

• The number of homeless individuals has risen by 31 percent since 1999;- Gee -then why are the Liberasl who own proprty lowering their rents so folks can AFFORD to live - typical Limo Liberals

• There are 10,000 families with children who will be homeless at some point this year—there is room for just 40 of them in state shelters - THEN ALL OF YOU LIMO LIBERALS STOP CHARGING $2,000 a month rent for crappy 2 bedroom apartments so folks can afford it. Charity starts at home

nail on the head

we moved three years ago out of masschusetts, just couldn't take the nutty laws by the democrats and the looney left.
High taxes, roads are a mess, illegal immigrants get more rights than the american citizen, look at the gay issue, judges make a law, the people get enough sigs to get it on the ballot and the legislator tries to stop it.
So we live in florida now. cheap , clean no pot holes, etc we bump into another couple from masschusetts just before election day. We get talking about politics and who we're going to vote, now don't forget they said the same as us especially the cost of living.
I ask who they're voting for, they say democrats. couldn't believe it they've been moaning about taxes etc and then they was going to vote for the peopel who raise taxes, why well because they say they've always voted democrats.
Anyway thankfully after the discussion they ended up voting republican for their first times
